Winter Nets 2027: Dates, Times and Venues Confirmed!
The Club is pleased to announce the details of our winter nets programme for 2027, with training sessions for junior and senior players getting underway in January.
With the 2027 cricket season on the horizon, our winter training programme is a great opportunity for players to develop their skills, build confidence and prepare for another exciting summer of cricket at Golden Hill.
Sessions will take place at indoor venues across Bristol, with dedicated training for boys, girls, women and men.
Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming winter nets.
Junior Winter Training
Our junior winter training programme begins week commencing Monday 18 January 2027 and runs for 10 weeks, including February half-term, with the final sessions taking place during the week commencing 22 March.
Training is organised by age group, with some sessions split by school year.

Please note: Junior training will continue during the February half-term week (commencing 15 February), so there is no scheduled half-term break.
Senior Winter Training
Our senior men's and women's teams will also be returning to indoor training in January, with 12-week programmes designed to help players prepare for the new season.
Men's Winter Nets
Day: Monday
Time: 6.00–9.00pm
Venue: Clifton College
First session: Monday 18 January 2027
Final session: Monday 12 April 2027
Duration: 12 sessions
Please note: There will be no session on Easter Monday, 29 March 2027.
Women's Winter Nets
Day: Thursday
Time: 6.30–9.30pm
Venue: St Bede's School
First session: Thursday 21 January 2027
Final session: Thursday 8 April 2027
Duration: 12 sessions

Winter nets are an important part of our preparations for the summer season, providing a great opportunity to sharpen batting and bowling skills, work on technique and enjoy cricket with teammates throughout the colder months.
