Ladies & Girls cricket

If you are interested in joining us, or finding out a bit more about us, please email Jan (Ladies Captain) on

You can also simply turn up for one of our training nights, to see if cricket is your thing (most people enjoy it so much they keep coming back!) see below for details.

Training takes place at our home ground at Wimbledon Road on Wednesday evenings throughout the summer, (May until August) starting on the 7th May 2014 at 7.00 until 8.00pm (We sometimes stay later if the weather / daylight allows). There are toilets and changing facilities available.

This is both ladies and girls training, and we have coaches available to provide structured sessions. We have nets available, and a bowling machine to hone those batting shots.

All the required protective equipment is available at our training nights, along with some bats to use.

History and News Update

In the summer of 2011, Golden Hill Cricket Club formed a new Ladies team and 2 Girls teams for U13 and U15 players. The Girls teams have done well in their respective leagues, and now include a couple of County players. We will need to replenish the girls teams as the players get older and are no longer eligible, and some have already moved up into the ladies squad.

The ladies played for the first two seasons in the Women's T20 Development League, and have just completed the 2013 season in the Women's T20 Competitive League. During this season we have gone from 6 regular squad members to having over 20 members. This is due to the hard work and enthusiasm of the coaching team, and the friendly but competitive atmosphere that is developing within the squad. We are looking to gain more regular players this year to bolster these numbers, eveyone is welcome to come along to training.

Some of the ladies team members are now qualified cricket coaches, which enables them to help out with the girls squad.

Hope to see you soon!
