Women’s cricket

After a fantastic first season in the summer of 2011, were gearing up to start the 2012 summer season and this year, we have 3 girls teams (2 under 13s and under 15s) as well as our previous fantastic womens team!

In 2011, 3 of our women members joined some of the other YMCA coaches in passing their first level cricket coaching course, so parents and players alike can be sure they will be in safe (CRB checked) hands!

We have our summer outdoor training at the ground on Wednesday eves.

The womens 2012 summer match fixtures are-

• Ross On Wye HOME Sunday 6th May 1pm start FRIENDLY
• Hawkesbury AWAY Sunday 13th May time tbc
• Frenchay HOME Wednesday 30th May 6pm start
• Bristol Uni HOME Wednesday 13th June 6.30pm start FRIENDLY
• Painswick HOME Friday 15th June 6.30pm start
• Charlton Kings HOME Wednesday 20th June 6.30pm
• Outdoor friendly game is Wednesday 27th June Away at Longwood lane, Fairland (behind Redwood lodge. Check www.obwcc.co.uk for directions) at 6pm 
• Frocester AWAY Friday 6th July 6.30pm start

You dont need to be worried if youve never played before or if you dont even know HOW to play, weve all started from the beginning, and are all at different stages! Its all about having some fun, getting a bit of exercise and making new friends!
