About Party In The Park
Saturday 15th September 2018!
For those of you that don’t know about PitP, it’s a community event which raises money to pay for the upkeep of the community owned YMCA field at Golden Hill. It’s a great event with a variety of stalls and entertainment on offer for all the family. We print 10,000 programmes that are hand delivered to homes in the local area and thousands of people come along and enjoy the day which is open to everyone.
If you know of anyone who would like to be a stall holder please ask them to contact us as the event continues to grow in stature year on year.
This year’s PitP will take place on Saturday 15th September from 1pm.
Further details to follow as and when they are finalised.
If you would like a stall at PitP 2018 please download a Party In the Park Stall Booking Form and send it back to us.
Party in the park is now in its 12th year and each year we try and bring a fresh and different look to the event. It is very much a community day out where we seek to provide entertainment, games and refreshments to suit all.
Tethered Hot Air Balloon ride (weather permitting)
Firework display (due to start at 8pm)
Gryoscope (a ride for 4 people)
Demolition Zone – Bash the Car!

Live music stage – great live local acts
Live displays – Japanese Drummers, Tae Kwon-do, marching band and many, many more.
Food Village with Pizza, Falafel, BBQ, Chicken and Vegetarian Curries.
… and much, much more.
PitP’s original purpose was to repay the ground purchase loan and this was achieved in 2017.
The funds from all future events will now be put towards the next project – the renovation and re-development of the pavilion.
Everyone at Golden Hill Sports would like to say a big thank to all those people that have come along and supported PITP over the years & making it such a success & we would like to invite them all back again this year along with anyone who has never been before.
PITP first started in 2007 and was created by the Golden Hill committee as a way of both raising money to repay the loan taken out to purchase the ground and giving something back to the community who helped the registered charity (Golden Hill Sports) acquire these valuable playing fields.
We create funds by providing the local community with a great, fun day out for all ages.
PITP has raised well over £100,000 in the 11 events held so far with close to £15,000 being raised at PITP 2016 alone when over 4,200 people attended during the course of the day.
Our slogan for PITP is “Bringing the community together” and we truly believe that this event does just that.
We are so grateful for our PITP organising team, many of which have been with us since the start and give up countless hours to make this event the success it is.
All funds from PITP go to the registered charity ‘Golden Hill Sports’ who’s charitable objectives are the protection and well being of the sports field & provision of sport for the membership which is open to everyone.
