Sposito Bros Join GHS

Golden Hill Football Club received a welcome boost this week with the news that a second member of the footballing Sposito family has joined the club. Exciting midfielder Craig Sposito has joined his goal-keeping brother Stephen at Golden Hill after agreeing to sign forms this week. And ‘Sposito No2′ took no time in getting involved with his new team-mates thanks to an impromptu runout (in denim jeans!) during the club’s Tuesday night training session.
The South Bristol based footballer – who is a trained chef – has been on manager Phil Wilton’s ‘wanted list’ for more than two years after producing several outstanding performances for Redcliffe United FC in previous Bristol & Avon League clashes against GHS. Sposito is well known for producing ‘one man shows’ for his former club and during the 2008/2009 season scored an impressive 19 goal s in 22 appearances.
Sposito’s move to the superior GHS set up should compliment his style of play perfectly with a superb first team pitch and no shortgage of quality players in to assist his integration into the club. Manager Wlton said “It great to have Craig on board along with his brother Stephen. I see both players playing major roles as our club continues to move forward”
Chairman Shaun Parker was delighted at the news and the clubs ongoing success at attracting footballers with a proven track record. Parker added “Thanks partly to the determination of our first team manager Phil Wilton but also the great facilities we offer GHS has consistently been able to secure the signing of players we have targeted from others clubs. I would also like to recognise the superb contribution that Scott Lovell has made in persuading players of the calibre of the Spositio and Carter brothers to join us”.
