| Khan - continued to impress with bat and ball |
YMCA 3rd XI v United Banks 2nd XI
A great collective effort from the Third Team's bowlers dismissed United Banks for just 90 on Saturday. In reply, Rich Wilson's side knocked off the runs with relative ease, losing just five wickets. Chris Tebb (26 & 3/29) and Jhanger Khan (2/29 & 18*) both had excellent days with the bat and ball, whilst Charlie Collard (22) continued his consistent form with the bat. Earlier in the day, the other bowlers to take wickets were Will Drakett (2/2), Ammar Shah (2/4) and Bilal Shinawari (1/23). Following the win, the Third Eleven have moved to top of the B&D 2nd XI Division Three.
YMCA 1st XI v Failand & Portbury
After their excellent start to the season, YM's First Eleven struggled again on Saturday as they slumped to their third consecutive defeat. Despite taking wickets at regular intervals, John Colley's side couldn't halt Failand & Portbury from maintaining a run rate of around four runs per over throughout their innings, as they posted a score of 207/8. In reply, YM got off to a slow start and at 96/6 after 31 overs looked as if they were heading for a heavy defeat. A 60 run partnership by Chris Dowle (34) and John Colley (42) gave the 1st XI hope, however both players were involved in run outs towards the end of the innings and YM ended up falling 26 runs short of the target.

| Kirk - has scored 111 runs from three innings for the 2nds so far this season |
Bristol Pakistanis 2nd XI v YMCA 2nd XI
Despite losing a wicket to the second ball of the match, Matt Spence (32) and Martin Jones (53) put on 87 for the second wicket to give the 2nds a solid foundation to build on. Runs from Peter Kirk (42*) and Razi Ahmed (25) helped increase the run rate and Tim Lush's side were able to reach the seemingly competitive total of 187/7. However, the target was reached by Bristol Pakistanis for the loss of two wickets and with over 10 overs to go.
Hampset 3rd XI v YMCA 4th XI
Tanveer Shah continued his excellent return to the Fourth Eleven, scoring 70 out of YM's total of 139/9. In reply Hampset got off to a very strong start, reaching 94 before losing their first wicket. A flurry of wickets then followed but it was too late for YM to put any real pressure on the Hampset batsmen, as the home side achieved the target for the loss of five wickets. Tony Huszlicska (3/32) came back well to take three wickets in his second spell and Wayne Lush (1/29) gave another good display with the ball despite being largely unrewarded.
