| Organisers, Simon Weetch and Adam Gallimore, hope to raise over £600 on Sunday |
Good luck to those Golden Hill footballers who will be taking part in the 10K run organised by Adam Gallimore and Simon Weetch this Sunday afternoon.
The 10 kilometre run has been organised as a way of raising some welcome additional funds for the charity arm of the Henleaze based sports club. Following the run, Lloyds Bank's high-flying pen-pusher Gallimore has plans to seek pound-for-pound sponsorship from his employer as a way of further boosting a pot that is expected to raise in excess of £600.
Director of Football Shaun Parker said: "The footballers have raised a significant sum of money for GHS since its beginning three years ago and this sponsored run will further boost GHS's coffers. I am pleased with the general enthusiasim amongst the senior footballers to participate or support this event and I would like to offer special praise to Adam and Simon for their assistance in organising this event."
Players, their families and club supporters wil be in attendance at the clubhouse as the runners begin and end the 10k run from Golden Hill. Everyone connected with GHS is welcome to come along and cheer the bravehearts on.
