News: All change at GHS F.C. (23/04/08)

Following the recent developments at Golden Hill, a few changes have occured in footballing personnel. Shaun Parker has agreed to step down in his role as Chairman after 3 years to take on the broader role of Director of Football - the move comes after newly appointed Facilities Manager, Richie Wilson announced his decision to stand down from the post due to the heavy workload resulting from his new job.

Parker's figure-head role as Chairman of the senior side will be filled by 'soccer nut' Phil Dowle - better known as Dowler by his cricketing team-mates. Dowler and Parker will take up their new posts with immediate effect.

Meanwhile, newcomer Marcus Vowles has agreed to take on the new role of GHS FC Social Secretary following discussions with manager Phil Wilton yesterday. Commanding centreback Vowles has made an instant impact since his recent arrival and has promised to make a similar impression off the field. Vowles has set his initial sites on the arrangements for the forthcoming Awards Night at Golden Hill on Friday 9th May.
