Golden Hill Sports FC turned in undoubtedly the best performance in their short history with a record 9-2 win over Greyfriars.

Tom Dimonaco made a welcome return to the starting line-up, his second game back after a long injury layoff, and looked sharp and manager Phil Wilton took the opportunity to take a look at the club's latest recruits, Matt Thomas and Jamie Rogers, with recent signings Ben Pearce and Marcus Vowles in the starting eleven.
Golden Hill started the game well and the training sessions appeared to be paying off as they passed with ball well and worked hard, pressuring Greyfriars from the start and it wasn’t long before the deadlock was broken. Nathen Matthews playing in an unfamiliar role on the left cut inside and crossed the ball only for the unfortunate greyfriars midfielder to slice the ball wildly over his keeper from the edge of the area; 1-0.
More was to come as strikers Tom Dimonaco (4) and Brazilian Savvio Silva-Costa (3) stole the show with seven goals between them, showing us what the team has been missing for most of the season as they started only their second game together this year. In between the strikers hatricks, skipper Simon Weetch scored for the second match in a row from the edge of the area after good work from Ben Pearce.
A lapse of concentration, and element of luck in both, seen Greyfriars score two goals against the run of play.
Savvio Silva-Costa - better know as 'Sav' - scored arguably the goal of the match, picking the ball up in the centre circle before heading off on a mazy run through the heart of the Greyfriars midfield and defence, passing four players before calmly rounded the outrushing keeper, beating another defender and calmly slotting the ball into the unguarded net.
Overall a very good team performance and excellent attitude to the game which should be taken forward to the next game.
